Greater Scranton Penn State Chapter
The Greater Scranton Chapter is the largest Penn State alumni organization in Northeast Pennsylvania. We represent alumni, and friends of Penn State, from all 24 Penn State University campuses, who reside in Lackawanna and Wyoming counties. We are proud members of the
Nittany Lion Club
and the Blue Band's
Floating LIONS Club. We support the mission of Penn State University on at least two campuses annually. We serve the community around us, and we strive to help build the future. It is a task we do with pride.

Home Game Tailgates
The Greater Scranton Chapter is hosting tailgates at all the home games this season. Our spot is just outside Gate E, spot 219. Our tailgates will start around 10:00am each home game, and will end 1/2 hour before the start of the game.
Current Chapter members are welcome to come by and have something to eat (please have your 2008 membership card with you).
General Chapter Meetings

Special Guest Speaker: The "For the Future" Campaign Presentation
Come by and get the details of all the fall events the chapter has planned, then we'll get the low-down on what Penn State Worthington Scranton has planned for the future.
Our General Chapter Meetings are open to the public, so bring a Penn State friend.
Tuesday, November 11, 7:30pm
Our Election Meeting... 2008 Chapter members, who joined the chapter prior to September 11, 2008, will be voting for the 2009 Chapter officers. Come out and show your support, and hear what is planned for the winter season.
Meetings are held in the Sherbine Lounge in the Study Learning Center at the Penn State Worthington Scranton campus.
Game Watching Parties
The Greater Scranton Chapter will be hosting our game watching parties at Sno Grille, one of the restaurants in the lodge at Sno Mountain, this fall.
We will host a game watching party for each of the BIG 10 away games. They are:
PURDUE: Saturday, October 4
WISCONSIN: Saturday, October 11
IOWA: Saturday, November 8
Each of these games watching parties will be open to the public, and will include a drink or appetizer special for Chapter Members during Half Time.
We have something special in the works for OHIO STATE, October 25. The Chapter will host a private tailgating party. There will be an admission fee for this event (fee has not yet been set). The evening will start with a BBQ before the game, and specials on drinks and appetizers during Half Time. Stay Tuned for more information.

Homecoming Parade
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17
The Greater Scranton Chapter is already at work planning our trip to the largest homecoming parade in the U.S.A.
We'll start with a RV Caravan from Scranton to University Park.
Then at 2:00pm, you'll be welcome to attend the Ice Cream Social dedicating the ALUMNI WALK.
We'll gather at the start of the parade route at 5:00pm, and the Parade will start at 6:00pm. (Yes, they banned candy again).
At the end of the parade, we'll hop over to the Hintz Center (Alumni HQ) and attend the private Post Parade Party.
If you would be interested in joining us in marching in this year's parade, please contact us.
